Bloating: 8 tips to treat it: Understand everything in two minutes

Here are 8 tips to fight the unpleasant feelings caused by bloating naturally…

fibers

Fiber in general is very good for your health and it is recommended to eat it throughout the year. There are two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble fiber. These are insoluble fibers which, if not consumed in excess, can stimulate intestinal transit and reduce constipation, which is often accompanied by bloating. Insoluble fiber is found in whole grains, wheat bran, almonds, nuts, fruits, vegetables or flaxseeds, for example.

fennel

Fennel is very effective in fighting digestive disorders. It is preferable to take it between meals, either:

As an essential oil: 0.1 to 0.6 ml per day.

In seed form: 1 to 2 g of fennel, 3 times a day;

Infusion: 1 to 3 g of dried seeds poured with boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes, 3 times a day;

In a tincture: from 5 to 15 ml 3 times a day;

Avoid certain foods or drinks

Certain foods are directly responsible for bloating. Including chewing gum and soft drinks. Bloating is related to the buildup of air or gas in the intestines, which causes swelling. Soft drinks release gases in the digestive system and contribute to the feeling of bloating. Chewing gum should also be avoided because it makes the digestive system work "empty". Thus, air accumulates in the digestive system, which leads to the occurrence of bloating.

Charcoal

Vegetable carbon, or activated carbon, is a black powder obtained by high-temperature calcination of wood, coconut husks or olive pits. The purpose of this carbonation is to purify the plant material and increase its porosity, and these pores have the ability to contain gases. Therefore, charcoal has many therapeutic benefits on the digestive system. It can, among other things, absorb up to 100 times its volume of gas, thereby eliminating gases from fermentation in order to relieve bloating.

Eat slowly and chew well

It is important that you eat at least 20 minutes. Eating food too quickly and not chewing enough can cause stomach pain and bloating. Chewing food facilitates digestion and thus reduces the risk of swallowing (= swallowing air in the stomach and esophagus).

Also try to reduce your stress level because when we are nervous we tend to eat faster which makes digestion more difficult and increases the risk of bloating.

Use homeopathy

In case of puffiness, homeopathy also offers solutions. Carbo Vegetalis 5CH, or Charcoal, gives good results at the rate of 3 homeopathic granules 30 minutes to 1 hour before a meal.

China Rubra 9H is recommended for swollen and tense stomachs, at a rate of 5 pellets 2 to 3 times a day. Nux Vomica or vomic nut is recommended in case of abdominal pain associated with bloating at a rate of 5 pellets 2 to 3 times a day.

FODMAP

Bloating can be caused by intolerances to certain foods and in particular FODMAPs (= so-called fermentable foods, oligosaccharides (fructans), disaccharides (lactose), monosaccharides (fructose) and polyols). If you suffer from chronic bloating, it is recommended to reduce these rations for a month and gradually reintroduce them to determine which ones may be causing bloating. -
