The seeds are consumed and their condition: their high fiber content (15 times more than wheat bran) regulates the frequency and quality of stool.
What are the benefits of slimming? By improving the transit and thus the body's drainage, it also expels previous bad meals. But we love it because it takes up space in the intestines, swells, adds volume, and satiety, on the agenda, allows you to eat less during meals.

Once ingested, this highly effective gelling agent “lines” the walls of the stomach, providing a quick satiety effect. Chitosan is a substance that comes from the crusts of crustaceans. Yes Yes ! Since it is able to fix the fat that surrounds it and carry it in the stool using a bolus of food, it is credited with excellent slimming properties. However, in terms of weight loss, "the results are disappointing in men," warns nutritionist Jack Fricker in 60 Million People Collaborators (The Truth About Diets, October 2020). "When used in high doses, 4 to 5 grams per day, it loses only 11 grams per day of fat in the stool, or 10 calories." * So no need to give in to this newcomer in the long list of anti-obese foods...that don't work!
