Draining: How can a healthy liver help with weight loss?

The liver plays a role in filtering, storing, and purifying the body. If it is clogged, it will not be able to perform its functions properly and weight gain will be inevitable. Why does emptying the liver lead to weight loss? Which foods do you prefer?

Drain the liver to lose weight

Stress, pollution, consumption of industrial products ... a lot of factors that prevent the optimal functioning of our liver. However, we tend to forget it, but it is a key member of the goal of weight loss because it is involved in the digestion of fats. When you have an unbalanced diet and eat more than you should, the liver produces and stores a lot of fat. As a result, toxins and other waste products accumulate, which alters liver function. In addition to causing weight gain, fat storage in the body is responsible for cardiovascular disease, liver disease, and even cirrhosis. The exchange allows the liver to restore all its capabilities, to speed up the metabolism and thus lose weight.

When does the liver drain?

The liver should not be drained at any time, however. It is recommended to do this in the spring because we tend to store more waste during the winter period. Drainage will help promote the elimination of toxins and rejuvenate this very stressed organ.

Liver drainage: basic principles

First of all, there are some rules to follow to rejuvenate the liver and do a detox:

Significantly limit alcohol, coffee, tobacco, fatty, sugary, salty foods and other industrial products that contain a lot of additives.

Prefer raw foods, and mostly consume raw fruits and vegetables to benefit from all their nutritional properties and high fiber content.

Stay hydrated throughout the day by drinking at least 2 liters of water per day. To diversify the taste and add flavor, you can add a few slices of lemon or cucumber to the beaker.

Liver Drainage: Foods to Consume

Green tea: Green tea is rich in antioxidants and molecules that help detoxify the liver. The advantage is that you can drink it throughout the day (avoid it after 5 pm because it is a stimulant).

Lemon: It is the main food for cleaning the liver. You can drink lemon juice with warm water in the morning when you wake up but you can also put it on your dishes.

Grapefruit: Thanks to its high content of vitamin C, peptin, and antioxidants, this citrus fruit helps purify the liver.

Oil seeds: Brazil nuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts... Oil seeds are rich in phosphorous, a mineral salt that breaks down fats.

Black radish: increases the secretion of bile, which leads to better detoxification.

Milk thistle: This plant is rich in silymarin, a powerful detoxifying active ingredient. Regarding dosage, it is recommended to take between 140 and 210 mg three times a day, with a course of 20 to 30 days.
