Scottish scientists from the University of Aberdeen, Britain, have found that a smart wife keeps her husband away from diseases, which reduces the chances of him suffering from diseases that cause death, the most important of which is mental illness.
Far from fate, scientists followed the health of two twins, the first is married to a woman with a high IQ factor, while the wife of the other man has a lower IQ, and the result was that the husband of the smartest woman was less prone to Alzheimer's disease.
Scientists believe that men married to intelligent women have to exercise their minds daily to match the level of intelligence of their wives, and to be able to communicate with them well, and these mental exercises help to keep them away from diseases.
In spite of this, scientists have discovered in previous studies that men who marry intelligent women tend to have what is known as "senile dementia," which is an abnormally rapid decline of mental faculties and emotional balance with age.
